If one moment can reveal the truth, it must be midnight. And preferably a quiet, gloomy, dark night. That is the premise of the chanson ‘La nuict froide et sombre ’ of Orlandus Lassus. Flemish composer Daan Janssens started working on the original and made a quirky adaptation for five instruments. Immortal repertoire in dialogue with newly composed music, with that idea ClubMediéval and Spectra Ensemble created something extraorinary. Ockeghem inspired Harrison Birtwistle and fixed value Frederik Neyrinck incorporates Bedyngham into a brand new composed work.
