Coming from the bustling heart of Rio de Janeiro, Eliane Rodrigues turned out to be a musical prodigy early on. Her innate talent flourished amid the colorful fabric of Brazilian culture. She continued her studies in Belgium and excelled at competitions. Since 1983 she belongs to the select circle of Queen Elisabeth competition laureates. Her performance of Beethoven's Fourth Piano Concerto was voted the most memorable moment in the history of the competition by the listeners of Klara.

Eliane Rodrigues was able to rely on a rich pedagogical tradition of rock-solid piano teachers. Today she is the enthusiastic promoter of new upcoming talent. A few hours before her performance in CCHA, she also gives a masterclass to piano students from the academy.

Not only because of her artistic excellence, but also because of her warm-hearted, spontaneous and passionate appearance, she is an absolute crowd favorite. For her recital, Eliane Rodrigues put together a program with some of her favorite pages from the great piano literature.
